‘Hungary is showing an effective solution to the migration crisis for the whole of Europe’ Varga said in reaction to a recent proposal by the European Parliament’s LIBE Committee.
The proposal that the EP’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs had postulated ‘would not only legalize migration but would respond to Europe’s shortage of labor with a massive influx of immigrants’ she said in a Facebook post.
‘When we had hoped that the left would finally hear the voice of the people, the latest LIBE report called for a single EU immigration code, which would give a green light to migration flows towards Europe, thus deluging the European labor market with an unskilled, cheap workforce’ the minister said adding that this is ‘completely contrary to the interests of the people of Europe’.
Hungary has come up with an effective program dubbed Hungary Helps as an answer to the migration crisis, which has already helped 200 Syrian refugee families return to their homes.
‘The Hungarian government is acting and is offering a humane solution to the crisis’ Varga said noting that ‘this program is setting an example and taking real help where it is really needed.’
