The 15th edition of Coffee Bar Bazaar, Hungary’s premier coffee and beverage festival, is set to welcome a record number of exhibitors this weekend at Budapest’s Millenáris B Hall. The two-day event offers an immersive experience featuring unlimited tastings, expert-led workshops, thrilling competitions, and interactive activities designed to showcase the latest trends in the coffee industry.
Visitors can sample a diverse selection of products from around 50 exhibitors, including renowned international brands and small-scale specialty roasters. Several brands will also make their debut at the event, presenting innovations such as ultra-premium coffee machines, plant-based drinks, craft sodas, and traditional home-brew methods like the classic moka pot.
One of the festival’s highlights is the Tasting Room, where attendees can enjoy complimentary guided tastings. These include an espresso martini workshop, a curated rum and food pairing session, and an introduction to the latest generation of alcohol-free spirits. For the more adventurous, there will be unusual tasting experiences, such as crickets and fermented vegetables served alongside cocktails.
As in previous years, the event will host professional barista competitions. The Cup Taster Pro and amateur championships will take place over both days, testing participants’ sensory skills. The winner of the professional category will earn a trip to the prestigious World of Coffee Expo in Geneva this June, while amateur competitors will vie for valuable cash and product prizes.
Beyond coffee, the festival will showcase creative and unconventional offerings. Highlights include Oatly’s cascara and Kékfrankos-infused ice cream, ultra-premium coffee capsules by Samurai Shoelace, and an innovative home capsule recycling device by Recicloo. The festival will also feature the Push for Change capsule-pressing challenge, inviting attendees to put their barista skills to the test.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, a DJ will provide music throughout both days, with live saxophone performances enhancing the tasting experience in the afternoons. Visitors are encouraged to attend in costume, as the first 50 guests arriving in themed attire on each day will receive free entry to the Autumn Coffee Day event later this year.
With its dynamic programme of tastings, workshops, and competitions, the 15th Coffe Bar Bazaar promises to be an unmissable celebration for coffee aficionados and industry professionals alike.
