As part of the ongoing defence and military development programme, two Leopard 2A7HU tanks have been delivered to Tata, joining the 1st Armoured Brigade. Additionally, thousands of CZ Bren 2 assault rifles will soon be distributed among various military units.

The 30th Armoured Infantry Brigade in Hódmezővásárhely has also received another Lynx KF-41 infantry fighting vehicle. Furthermore, personnel at the base now have access to two newly introduced driver training simulators (DTS) to enhance their Lynx vehicle operation skills.

Szalay-Bobrovniczky stressed that Hungary must maintain a strong and well-equipped military force in response to evolving security challenges. He highlighted the importance of self-defence capabilities, ensuring that Hungarian forces are prepared for any scenario.

In the coming months additional Leopard tanks, Wisent 2 armoured recovery vehicles, Leguan bridge layers, Lynx infantry vehicles, and H225M helicopters will be deployed across key military bases in Tata, Hódmezővásárhely, and Szolnok.

With these acquisitions, Hungary’s military modernization aims to create a highly capable and technologically advanced defence force, reinforcing national security and regional stability.
