Budapest’s popular Arthouse Cinema (Artmozi) Night returns on 17 May, offering an all-night film marathon across five arthouse cinemas in the capital. From 6 PM until 6 AM the following morning, moviegoers can access a diverse lineup of 70 films with a single wristband.
The participating cinemas—Művész, Puskin, Toldi, Kino, and Tabán—will feature a wide selection of movies, including exclusive pre-premiere screenings. Among them is Köln 75, a German musical drama centred on jazz pianist Keith Jarrett’s legendary concert, and Diamanti, set in 1970s Rome and directed by Ferzan Özpetek, both screening at Puskin.
Művész cinema will host the Hungarian premieres of François Ozon’s French comedy When Fall is Coming, and Leos Carax’s self-reflective experimental film This Is Not Me. The venue will also feature Stanley Kubrick’s classic sci-fi 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Fans of Japanese animation can catch Studio Ghibli films in Puskin’s Carousel room, while the Amarcord hall will focus on films exploring women’s lives.
At Toldi cinema, David Lynch’s Blue Velvet will play in the main hall, while the smaller room will showcase recent horror highlights. Tabán will feature top animated films from recent years, including Hungarian titles The Four Souls of Coyote and Ruben Brandt, Collector. Kubrick Hall will screen titles like Triangle of Sadness and Grand Tour.
Kino cinema will present all three films in Szabolcs Hajdu’s relationship-focused trilogy: It’s Not the Time of My Life, Kálmán’s Day, and Vulture’s Wake. Viewers can also enjoy French comedies like Blessed Are the Cheesemakers and Barbarians Next Door in Kino’s smaller screening room.
Each wristband also includes a coupon for 200 minutes of MOL Bubi bike rental, encouraging eco-friendly travel between venues.
