Target deciding to pull some of its controversial LGBT merchandise proves that the conservative consumer base in the United States does have considerable power to counteract the mainstream push of LGBTQ activism, even if the current administration is against them in that fight, unlike in Hungary.



The embassies of the United States, Germany, Slovakia, and 35 other nations have put out a joint statement ahead of the Budapest Pride March, condemning the Hungarian government for allegedly not protecting the rights of LGBTQ people in the country. Another summit of the intergovernmental cooperation between Austria, Hungary, and Serbia took place on 7 July in Vienna, Austria.
