Cinema City Film Festival Brings Exclusive Premieres and Discounted Tickets

Cinema City’s Film Festival, running from 7 to 10 November in Budapest and regional multiplexes, promises a lineup of premieres, discounted tickets, Hungarian films, and exclusive meet-and-greets. Audiences can enjoy newly released blockbusters alongside domestic cinematic highlights and film club discussions.

Cinema City is rolling out the red carpet for film lovers with its annual Film Festival, taking place from 7 to 10 November at multiplex cinemas in Budapest and several regional locations. The festival offers a broad selection of premieres, discount tickets, Hungarian cinema, meet-and-greet events, and a film club, creating a unique experience for attendees.

Among the highly anticipated premieres is Red One starring Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, and Lucy Liu. Other big-screen debuts include the Palme d’Or-winning Anora, the Hungarian horror I’ll Die Tomorrow, Gábor Herendi’s latest film Gone Running, Zoltán Török’s nature documentary My Sweden – A Changing Wilderness, the post-apocalyptic sci-fi Elevation, and the French crime drama The Successor (Le successeur).

Fans of Hungarian cinema will find a rich lineup featuring I’ll Die Tomorrow and Gone Running, as well as Attila Till’s new release But What About Tomi?, Péter Fazakas’ Tonight, We Kill, and the internationally acclaimed Black Spot directed by Bálint Szimler.

For a more interactive experience, meet-and-greet sessions will be hosted at Budapest’s Arena, Allee, Mammut, and Westend cinemas, as well as in Székesfehérvár and Győr. Festivalgoers can meet Gábor Herendi and Dorottya Udvaros, stars Beatrix Trill and Nike Kurta, and director Attila Till, who will be on hand to discuss Gone Running, I’ll Die Tomorrow, and But What About Tomi?, respectively. Additionally, the film club led by András Réz will focus on screenings and discussions of Anora and Armand.

Autumn’s most-watched releases also await. Horror fans can look forward to Smile 2 and The Serum, while drama and thriller enthusiasts will find Conclave and Joker: Madness for Two on the schedule. Family-friendly animations include The Wild Robot, The Dragon Guardian, In Wolf’s Skin – The Pack Awaits, Inside Out 2, and Minions 4. The festival will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of John Wick, re-releasing the iconic action film for fans old and new.
