The 26th Hungarian Real Estate Development Award, organized by the Hungarian Section of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), spotlighted the most outstanding property developments of 2024. The Liget Budapest Project, submitted by Városliget Ingatlanfejlesztő Ltd, claimed the Grand Prize alongside the Best Urban Development Award and a special prize from Lakásvásár Media Group.
This year’s competition drew an impressive field of 46 entries, the second-largest in the award’s history. Hungarian and international jurors evaluated the projects, awarding prizes across 12 categories.
The competition highlighted the active role of Hungarian developers, architects, and contractors in shaping the nation’s built environment. Submissions ranged from private investments to significant state and municipal projects, illustrating a commitment to both innovation and sustainability.
Winners of the Hungarian awards now have the opportunity to compete in the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence, one of the most prestigious international real estate competitions. Founded over 30 years ago, this global platform celebrates exemplary developments from more than 37 countries across five continents.
The Liget Budapest Project, which transformed the historic City Park into a vibrant cultural and recreational hub, embodies the competition’s spirit. It is a testament to the potential of blending heritage preservation with modern urban needs.
The awards reflect Hungary’s growing prominence in the global property development arena, celebrating the innovation, vision, and collaborative effort driving its real estate industry forward.
