Leading Right-Wing Voices Gather at Tihany’s Tranzit Festival

According to the organizers, all topics that could help Hungary emerge as a winner in the current global systemic shift will be on the table in Tihany. Discussions will cover challenges to civilization, sovereignty, economic issues, and the state of European cooperation.

With nearly one hundred speakers and thousands of participants, the Tihany Tranzit Festival, Hungary’s largest gathering that focuses on politics, will take place from 22 to 25 August, the organizing Kommentár Foundation announced. They stated that this year’s event, now in its seventh edition, will feature representatives from all major right-wing, sovereigntist communities.

The Tranzit Festival is a significant public affairs and political event held annually in Tihany, Hungary. It is considered one of the largest and most influential gatherings of political thinkers, policymakers, intellectuals, and public figures in the country, particularly those associated with right-wing and sovereigntist thinking.

The festival serves as a platform for discussing pressing national and international issues,

including topics related to sovereignty, civilization, economics, and European cooperation.

It aims to foster meaningful debates and discussions that contribute to Hungary’s strategic direction in a rapidly changing global environment. The event typically features a wide array of speakers, including government ministers, political leaders, academics, and commentator

According to the announcement, all topics that could help Hungary emerge as a winner in the current global systemic shift will be on the table in Tihany.

Discussions will cover challenges to civilization, sovereignty, economic issues, and the state of European cooperation. They emphasized that the Tranzit Festival has always been a home for meaningful debates, and this year will be no different. However, unlike in previous years, decision-makers will not be engaging in debates, as opposition parties have declined to participate.

‘Politicians from DK, Momentum, Párbeszéd–Greens, and Tisza Party have all turned down the invitation,’

the organizers reported.

The statement also mentions that, in addition to the debates, presentations will be given by several ministers, including János Bóka, Balázs Hankó, János Lázár, István Nagy, Antal Rogán, Péter Szijjártó, and Bence Tuzson. The debates and morning presentations will be streamed live on the Tranzit Facebook page, the statement concludes.
