The Hungarian Tourism Agency’s Visit Hungary 2025 Priority Partners programme is now accepting applications, Turizmus.hu reports. Companies in the hospitality industry can apply from 7 to 27 January.

The Priority Partners scheme was started by the Tourism Agency in 2018. This is the first time it is organized by Visit Hungary, a website also run by the Agency. The successful applicants will receive valuable perks, such as a 50 per cent discount on the application fee for tourism sales programmes run by Visit Hungary.

In addition, they will get to take part in Visit Hungary B2B activities such as webinars, roadshows, and workshops on Hungary’s tourist attractions. The selected Priority Partners will be the first to be informed about media support opportunities with the national tourism marketing organization and will be allowed early access to apply for cooperation.

Priority Partners can also join Visit Hungary’s country image-building promotional activities with an offer matching the theme of the campaigns. Small, medium, and high-traffic hotels, hotel chains, venues, and professional conference organizers (PCOs) that have been awarded MICE status will automatically be listed on the Budapest Convention Bureau’s venue finder page.

On top of all that, the distinguished operators will be able to apply, if advertised, for the Promotion Partner Fund, which will allow them to participate free of charge in a multi-day domestic study tour organized by Visit Hungary, including the presentation of new products, tourist attractions and professional workshops. They can also apply for the ‘Innovative Tourism Product Package’, which allows them to apply for a full participation fee waiver at a trade fair abroad. They will also have the opportunity to participate in, if held, the Education Partners Meeting.

This year, the applications for the Priority Partner Programme will be judged by an 8-member expert committee composed of Visit Hungary and several professional organisations. Of the more than 160 service providers who applied last year, around 140 were finally awarded the status of Priority Partner.

More information is available on the landing page for the Priority Partners programme on the Visit Hungary website.
