BioTechUSA, a Hungarian-owned company, has recently achieved significant success by announcing a multi-year partnership with FC Barcelona. One of the world’s biggest football clubs will source a range of sports nutrition supplements, including proteins, vitamins, and recovery support products, from the Hungarian company in the coming years.

Hungarian-owned BioTechUSA has signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with FC Barcelona, one of the world’s most popular football clubs. Under the agreement, BioTechUSA will provide the Catalan men’s and women’s first teams with a range of sports nutrition supplements, including proteins, vitamins, and recovery support products.

BioTechUSA is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers and distributors of nutritional supplements, recognized internationally with a portfolio available in over 100 countries worldwide. Their mission is to help customers live more balanced, athletic, and healthy lives by offering premium quality products and leveraging 30 years of professional experience. The company collaborates with more than 250 professional athletes and brand ambassadors, as well as numerous international sports teams, who inspire millions with their lifestyles and athletic achievements, Világgazdaság reported.

‘A quality, well-planned diet and related nutritional supplementation is one of the most important elements in the preparation of our players, and the collaboration with BioTechUSA is a guarantee that we can compete at the top of the league in this area as well,’ said Juli Guiu, FC Barcelona’s Vice President of Marketing. He added: ‘With this agreement, we not only have one of the leading companies in the sector joining our club, but we also have the opportunity to elevate our players’ performance to the next level.’

‘FC Barcelona is very selective in choosing its global partners, which is understandable given that no brand in the world would pass up the chance to collaborate with such an iconic club, boasting tens of millions of fans globally. It is, therefore, a great pleasure for us that the premium quality of our products and the expertise we possess have far exceeded the preliminary expectations of the Catalan team’s experts,’

Bálint Lévai, CEO and co-owner of BioTechUSA Group pointed out during the announcement.

As noted by Világgazdaság, the partnership between BioTechUSA and FC Barcelona extends beyond product supply to include research, education, and knowledge transfer. As part of this collaboration, the two parties will jointly publish an annual, publicly available study evaluating the effects of certain BioTechUSA nutritional supplements on sports performance. The study will include expert opinions from the medical staff and specialists of the Catalan sports club.

Additionally, the partnership will introduce Barcelona’s training methodology to Hungarian elite sports professionals

through a series of lectures, featuring experts from the Catalan club, complemented by BioTechUSA’s sports nutrition specialists.

The unveiling of the partnership could not have come at a better time for Barcelona. The Catalan club has faced challenges in both the Spanish league and the Champions League in recent years, but this season has begun in spectacular form. At the time of the partnership’s announcement, Barcelona had just celebrated a 7-0 victory over Valladolid with Hans Flick’s side leading La Liga with a four-match unbeaten run, ahead of rival Real Madrid.
