Budapest Metropolitan University is launching a training programme for mastering artificial intelligence (AI) in business and finance. Alongside theoretical foundations, students will learn about the practical applications of AI through real case studies and successful practical projects conducted by experts. The launch of this new course is a response to the dynamically changing demands of the labour market.
Starting September 2024, Budapest Metropolitan University will offer a specialized programme focusing on the main areas of AI applications in business and finance, as stated in the university’s announcement. The course has been designed not only based on specific IT and data analysis fundamentals but also to comprehensively develop students’ proactive and problem-solving attitudes. The programme enables applicants with a technological interest, but not necessarily a background in IT or engineering, to delve into the latest AI solutions.
Throughout the course, in addition to theoretical foundations, students will learn about the practical applications and challenges of AI through real case studies and the assistance of experts who have implemented successful practical projects. Thanks to the partnership between METU and Arizona State University, students will also benefit from educational materials from one of the world’s top universities. ASU is the first university globally to sign an educational cooperation agreement with Open AI, the developer of ChatGPT.
Within the framework of the training students will have the opportunity to try out the creation of AI-based solutions and prompt market-leading large language models. Additionally, the course provides knowledge on the broader application possibilities, challenges, risks, dangers, ethical-legal, and regulatory issues of AI.
The launch of this new course is a response to the dynamically changing demands of the labour market, which is increasingly seeking AI experts in the financial and business sectors, Péter Fáykiss, head of the specialized training programme stated. There is a growing demand for professionals who are well-versed in the trends and possibilities of technological advancement and possess practical knowledge. The aim of the course is to help students acquire a creative and proactive mindset, which can be relevant in all fields, Fáykiss added.
The new specialized training programme in Business and Financial Applications of Artificial Intelligence will start in September 2024. Interested individuals can apply for the course now.
