The BudapestGO app, a popular tool for navigating Budapest’s public transport system, is getting a series of updates to improve usability and functionality. The Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) announced on Monday that the new features will roll out in the coming days, making the app even simpler and more intuitive for users.
One of the key updates focuses on easier access to stop schedules. By tapping the ‘Schedule’ icon within the app, users can quickly view a list of routes and departure times from a specific stop. The app will also allow users to select individual route schedules for more precise information.
Additionally, in the map view, clicking on a stop icon will reveal a new schedule icon, providing real-time updates on upcoming departures directly from that stop.
Responding to user feedback, the BudapestGO app will now support dark mode, automatically aligning with device settings after 10pm. For those who prefer manual control, the dark mode can also be activated directly within the app’s settings.
The updates will also include a revamp of the app’s in-app messages, aimed at enhancing communication between the BKK and its users. These updates will enable more seamless notifications about service changes, travel updates, or new app features.
The BKK noted that the new communication tools will allow them to better inform users about significant traffic updates, ticketing information, and other essential details.
The improvements to BudapestGO are part of BKK’s ongoing efforts to assess user satisfaction and implement updates that reflect customer needs. The organization reiterated its commitment to making public transport in Budapest as accessible and efficient as possible through continuous digital innovation.
With these updates, BudapestGO is set to become an even more indispensable tool for navigating the city’s public transport network, enhancing the experience for residents and visitors alike.
