Woke Google AI Creates Images of Black Pope, Native American Founding Fathers

The tech giant Google has halted the operation of the image creation feature of its Gemini AI programme after major backlash from American conservatives.

Google launched the image generator feature for its AI software Gemini in early February 2024. However, in just a few weeks, its services were put to a halt after a national outcry in conservative media for the insanely woke results it returned for simple prompts.

Daily Wire writer Frank J. Fleming tested it and shared his findings on X.

When Google Gemini was asked to create an image of the Pope, it returned an image of an Asian woman and black man in a papal outfit. Evidently, that is absurd, given that all 266 people serving as Popes have been white men, and the Catholic Church does not allow women to be ordained priests or bishops, let alone serve as a Pope.

Picking up on the story, a journalist for the New York Post gave it the prompt ‘the Founding Fathers in 1789,’ to which Gemini AI gave images of one black and one native American man in period clothing sitting around a table.

Fleming took on the mission to try to get the Google AI tool to create an image of a white man

—however, it was in vain, even after giving it prompts about medieval knights and Vikings.

A reporter for the Verge even got the programme to create an image of a black soldier in the Nazi army by only putting in the command ‘1943 German soldier’.

Upon further inspection, Flemming also found that Gemini is only ditching historical accuracy for racial diversity when it comes with the extra benefit of erasing white people. To the prompts requesting Zulu warriors and samurais all yielded results depict black and Asian men, respectively.

Google responded to the backlash by pausing the operation of the image generator tool of its AI software and by issuing a series of public statements on X, saying:

‘We’re aware that Gemini is offering inaccuracies in some historical image generation depictions…We’re already working to address recent issues with Gemini’s image generation feature. While we do this, we’re going to pause the image generation of people and will re-release an improved version soon.’

Anti-White Bias at High Levels in the United States

Removing white people from history so far has been under the purview of the film and entertainment industry in the United States.

There have been many atrocious cases of ‘race swapping’ recently, usually with abysmal results for the studios producing the projects. Netflix is a prime offender in this category, having cast a black actress in the role of Cleopatra for their 2023 film about the historic queen of Egypt with well-documented Greek ancestry.

Their series Painkiller, also from 2023, tells the story of the legal battle against Purdue Pharma, who pressured doctors into overprescribing their opioid products to patients to increase their profits. In the series, a fictional black female prosecutor is leading the charge against big pharma, when in reality, the major figures leading the case were all white.

Disney has also been in the habit of casting non-white actors in traditionally white roles lately, most notably in their 2023 feature film The Little Mermaid; and, even more infamously, in their upcoming adaptation of Snow White starring Rachel Zegler—the release of which has been delayed after the universal backlash.

Snow White Is No Longer White in the New Disney Film — Is It Not ‘Cultural Appropriation’?

However, alas, anti-white sentiments in America do not stop with the entertainment industry.

There are plenty of examples of academics at prestigious universities openly stating their disdain for white people. For instance, in June 2021, psychiatrist Dr Aruna Khilanani was invited to speak at the Yale School of Medicine. She has repeatedly stated that she believes white people are psychopathic, and in her guest lecture, she even went as far as saying she fantasizes about shooting white people in the head.

Professor of Women and Gender Studies Britney Cooper at Rutgers University is notorious for her anti-white views. She has stated in the past: ‘I think that white people are committed to being villains in the aggregate,’ and said that: ‘the thing I want to say is that we’ve got to take these motherf***ers out,’ when describing her attitude towards white people. Of the latter statement, however, she was gracious enough to specify that she is not in favour of violence against the majority race in the US.
