Starting January, Vodafone Hungary will officially operate under the name One Magyarország Zrt, as announced by 4iG on Thursday. Along with the rebranding, the Vodafone HU mobile network will also be renamed One, and the retail operations of Vodafone and Digi will merge to create a unified customer experience.

Under the new One brand, services previously offered by Vodafone and Digi to residential and small business customers will continue unchanged. For enterprise customers, Vodafone Business, Antenna Hungária, and Invitech services will be marketed under the One Solutions name. By the second half of the year, these entities will be fully integrated into One Magyarország Zrt.

The merger promises integrated customer support, revamped digital platforms, and an upgraded app. Customers will have access to services at 135 stores in 98 locations, though some shops may temporarily close for renovations. Several Digi Points will shut down, but replacements will be conveniently located.

While the transformation has attracted significant attention, it has also caused technical disruptions, including system slowdowns and login issues. Teams are actively working to resolve these problems.

The company has reassured customers that existing subscriptions will remain unchanged under the One brand. There will be no automatic changes to tariffs or packages unless customers voluntarily switch to new service plans. Billing processes will also remain largely consistent. Notably, January invoices for former Vodafone customers will be issued by One Magyarország, with payments accepted via the One app, retail stores, and the official website.

Bank account details for payment transfers remain the same, but beneficiaries’ names will align with the new provider. Customers holding both Vodafone and Digi subscriptions will continue to receive separate bills unless they opt into One’s new bundled packages.

The rebranding also affects Antenna Hungária’s mindigTV Prémium service. As of January, its packages will remain available at the same price, but the mindigTV Prémium brand has been retired. These services will now fall under the One terrestrial TV offerings.

In autumn 2024 4iG announced the consolidation of its telecommunications operations, effectively phasing out the Vodafone, Digi, Antenna Hungária, and Invitech brands from the Hungarian market. This bold move underscores 4iG’s ambition to create a unified telecom entity under the One Magyarország banner, redefining the customer experience and shaping the future of Hungary’s telecom sector.
