The international mission of the Wokebusters, an initiative by the Center for Fundamental Rights (CFR), has officially launched, with its first stop being the United States. CFR Director General Miklós Szánthó shared the news in a video announcement posted on Facebook, describing the right-wing ‘rapid response corps’ and its new mission.
Szánthó explained the reasons for heading to the United States first: ‘First of all, because it is the home of woke, communism dressed in new clothes, and where else can you meet the devil but in hell?’ He continued by emphasizing that, despite this, many allies are present in the US, including senators, representatives, and think-tank leaders, who share their commitment to God, country, and family. ‘They are preparing for the presidential elections in November, and we will meet with them to strengthen the Wokebusters international alliance,’ he added.
The director general added: ‘If Donald Trump wins, the leading power in the Western world will be led by a man who opposes illegal migration, rejects gender ideology, and, perhaps most importantly, aims to end the war in Ukraine. And that will benefit the wallets of all Hungarians.’ He further explained that peace would allow sanctions to be lifted, enabling the global economy to recover, which in turn would allow the Hungarian economy to continue growing.
‘The connection may seem remote, but it’s true that if Trump wins in the US, Hungary could have a peace budget in 2025. Inflation could stay low, increasing the purchasing power of wages, and Hungarian companies will be able to do business with both the East and the West,’ Szánthó stated. He added: ‘In contrast, if the woke Democrat candidate Kamala Harris wins, it will hurt all Hungarians.’
What Is the Wokebusters Initiative?
The Wokebusters initiative was announced by Miklós Szánthó at the end of July. Joining him at the announcement was Gavin Wax, President of the prestigious New York Young Republican Club. The initiative was originally agreed upon at CPAC Hungary 2024 in April, where 59 politicians, decision-makers, and influencers signed the founding declaration of Wokebusters, pledging that ‘in the name of freedom, we will drain the swamp and take back the West.’
According to Szánthó, the Wokebusters initiative consists of two main pillars. The first is an emergency response information chain, which alerts members to the nefarious activities of progressive, woke actors anywhere in the world, allowing for awareness to be raised on these issues. The second pillar focuses on building in-person connections through the organization of conferences, workshops, and press conferences. Szánthó also stated that he views today’s woke activists as the new, trendy editions of communists, and emphasized the importance of cooperative efforts like Wokebusters among conservative activists worldwide, noting that left-wing counterparts have been coordinating similarly for a long time.
