‘Conservatives around the world were targeted, Romania is the latest example,’ Trump Envoy Says

‘Socialists and liberals are afraid of losing power, and for some time now they have been blaming political opponents for influencing electoral processes or government agendas through external forces. This is indeed what has happened: but it is not the conservatives who have to be blamed; it is the leftists themselves who claim to be acting in the name of a “greater good”.’

In the last few weeks there have been multiple reports concerning USAID, the US agency for International Development presenting itself as an organization supporting development, democracy and human rights. In fact, most of their funds were directed to opposition groups, NGOs with clear political agendas supporting destabilizing movements.

We have seen these processes in Hungary and Slovakia; but Romania is not far behind, which is confirmed by the statements of US diplomat and Donald Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenell.

‘The USAid programs were weaponized against people and politicians who weren’t woke. The Biden team spent US taxpayer money to support left wing programs and candidates around the world. Conservatives around the world were targeted. Romania is the latest example. @CiolacuMarcel’, Grennell wrote.

Grenell directly tagged Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, pointing out the interference, which probably has something to do with what happened in the presidential elections suspended after the independent candidate Călin Georgescu won in the first round.

I had the opportunity to talk to George Simion, leader of AUR, the second largest party in Romania, about Grenell’s statements and the USAID agency.

‘Richard Grenell’s allegations that USAID is being used as an agency to promote the radical left’s agenda are already sending shock waves. And it will have consequences. It happened in Romania, which was specifically mentioned,’ Simion said.

Simion also pointed out the double standards of what happened in the Romanian presidential elections, where it was the government and President Iohannis who blamed Georgescu of foreign interference, even though they have not yet shown any proof of it. There indeed has been interference, but not by those they think: rather, by the Democrats in the United States.

‘Socialists and liberals are afraid of losing power, and for some time now they have been blaming political opponents for influencing electoral processes or government agendas through external forces. This is indeed what has happened: but it is not the conservatives who have to be blamed; it is the leftists themselves who claim to be acting in the name of a “greater good”. This is false. And the revelations that have emerged and will continue to emerge will prove us right.’

We should also remember that it is not a novelty that globalists want to change the elections or help their supporters. Former EU commissioner Thierry Breton already stated a month ago that the EU had mechanisms to prevent a possible AfD victory in Germany. In fact, he himself stated that they were responsible for what had happened in Romania: ‘We did it in Romania and obviously we will do it in Germany if necessary.’

EU Shows Its True Colours with Thierry Breton: ‘We can suspend elections as we did in Romania’

Romania is one of the most blatant cases of globalist intervention. In fact, even the Venice Commission stated regarding what had happened in Romania that evidence must be given: ‘An election annulment must be based on transparent evidence, not classified information.’

Supposedly, Romania will again have presidential elections in early May if the parliament ends up approving that date. It is not yet known whether Georgescu will be allowed to run again or not, but if he does, he will surely sweep the first round, and will not need to go to the second one.

According to the last polls, Georgescu would be around 50 per cent; specifically, according to the last one published by România TV, he would obtain 47 per cent.
