At the beginning of September, the Danube Institute held a conference titled ‘Christians, Violence and the Middle East’. One of the keynote speakers of the conference was Juliana Taimoorazy, who spoke about the plight of Christians in her homeland, Iran and Iraq, through her personal story.
On Tuesday, Danube Institute organised an event, where a panel discussion on the historic election in Italy was hosted. Commentators discussed how Giorgia Meloni’s win could affect European politics, and what impact it could have on Hungary.

The 18 September resolution doesn’t mention Hamas’ brutal incursion into Israel on 7 October or the 101 hostages that are still being held captive in Gaza. It also conspicuously avoids mention of the continuing Palestinian attacks on Israel. Hungary was one of the fourteen nations that voted against the resolution that holds Israel solely responsible for the conflict.
